9 Do It Yourself Simple Spring Decorating Ideas

Since I LOVE all things plants and flowers, I’m all about decorating both inside and outside my home with lots of pretty greens and florals.

To prepare for spring, one of the first things I’m doing is starting seeds indoors so I can get a jump on the growing season outside.

It might not look pretty now, but wait until you see what it will look like during the growing season.

I’m planning a new cut flower garden here at the new house that is similar to my former gardens.

So there’s a lot of work to be done now to get my new cottage garden ready for spring.

To decorate for spring, I love to incorporate my houseplants in each room.

They warm up the living spaces, add character to the room and help purify the air.

With spring around the corner, it’s time to spruce up houseplants if they are looking a bit sad or have outgrown their containers.

And we should start fertilizing to help wake them up from winter dormancy and provide them with the nutrients needed to grow.

In addition to caring for my plants, I’m also planting containers with fresh plants and flowers to decorate for spring.

What better way to bring the outdoors in than to pot up a pretty planter?

Want to learn how to design a gorgeous container garden? Here’s how to do it.

  1. I’ve been so busy I didn’t have time to read your blog SO now I’m taking my time to read what I missed. Love everything you do and I’m so excited about your new to you home. Question, where did you purchase your outdoor patio rug? I just love it as it isn’t shocking but so nicely faded looking.
I wish you well and happiness in all the projects you take on with, what I perceive, a wonderful husband. Bless you both.

  2. I love this round-up, Stacy. So many fun projects ideas for spring. Thank you for sharing my door basket.

  3. So many fun projects! Your container gardens are beautiful and maybe something even my black thumb could handle!!!😅

    1. Thank you Robyn! Oh you totally can – some plants are way easier to work with than others. Like you can’t kill them if you tried! xo
