Thrifty Store Finds in Vermont
Do you love to go thrifting or antiquing and find pretty things with the best deals? Every trip is an adventure! Wait until you see the cool thrifty store finds I found in Vermont.
Since starting this series a few months ago, I knew it was challenging to thrift where I live in New Jersey, but I didn’t realize just how much!
Many thrift and consignment stores have very limited hours and if you don’t hit the day right, you miss it.
So when I hunt for cool vintage finds in New Jersey, I visit a variety of shops that sell a range of items from thrift stores, to antique stores and flea markets, as well as shops that sell vintage reproductions.
But when I’m in Vermont, there are so many more thrifting options available.
I love shopping at the local thrift and antique stores there.
Finding cool things in Vermont is a breeze.
In fact, the town where our cabin is has a weekly outdoor vintage and antique market from spring through fall.
The thrifty finds at this market are endless.
Having a home in both states, I think it’s much easier to find things in New England than here in New Jersey.
Plus, there’s such a difference in what you find!
We stayed in our cabin recently and hit a few of the local thrift and antique stores.
The weather wasn’t great so the outdoor flea market was a bust, but we still had a great time shopping around.
Let me show you some of the fun things I found in Vermont this month.
If you are coming from Ann at Dabbling and Decorating’s welcome! Ann has two beautiful homes in New England and finds the coolest things thrifting doesn’t she?

Thrifty Store Finds in Vermont
Since the weather was pretty rainy, the outdoor antique market didn’t have very much.
My Favorite Local Antique Shop
So we stopped by my favorite antique store just up the road.
It’s really small, but has lots of cool vintage tools, dinnerware and other vintage finds.
I found this gorgeous dish.
Isn’t that green design so pretty?
It’s being sold as is because of that huge crack.
Do you think it’s worth it?
I polled my Instagram followers on this one and they did not love this thrifty store find.
Check it out!
I found another cool toolbox.
You know how much I love using these in centerpieces and container gardens.
There’s a really small section of the shop where he sells vintage crates, crocks and other similar items.
Look at this picnic basket!
I see a centerpiece in it’s future in my home, don’t you?
I don’t have one yet, so I’m excited to use one with my decorating style.
We also found this cool maple sap bucket.
Isn’t it so cool?
I’m think I’m going to use as a base for a faux evergreen tree for the holidays.
So I bought this one too!
You can see this antique shop in my Tik Tok Video below.
And whenever we are done shopping here at the local antique shop, we LOVE to stop by this cute coffee house for a quick maple latte.
Have you ever had one before?
They are delicious!
More Thrifty Store Finds
After antiquing at my favorite local shop, we stopped by Twice Blessed in Dover, Vermont.
It’s a good size thrift store.
We stop in almost every time we are in Vermont.
And you can find anything from furniture, to kitchen and dinnerware items, to clothes to athletic gear.
Look, I found my husband in the golf closet. LOL!
I didn’t find much here this trip, but we’ll be back.
There is different stuff every time we come.
So every trip is an adventure.
My Thrifting With the Gals Group
My friends and I share our in-store finds in Instagram stories every Wednesday at 1PM EST.
If you can’t make it at 1 to shop with us, the stories stay live for 24 hours.
So if you want to come along in-store, be sure to stop by Instagram and check it out.
And the stories will be saved to my highlight called Thrifting.
Next up on the thrifting tour, is Lora from Lora Be Create and Ponder. Let’s see what she found thrifting this month!

Stacy,
The shopping looks great in Vermont. I hope to visit there one day.
It’s such a beautiful state. Ann knows the ins and outs of thrifting here – we have to get you all out for a visit so we can hang! xo
So many amazing finds! You found some great treasures!
I would love to visit Vermont someday.
Thank you Michele! Vermont is such a cool state. I love visiting and would love to host you sometime! xoxo
That maple latte sounds delicious! Perfect flavor for Vermont. My hubs puts our home brewed maple syrup in his coffee every morn! Fun to see what you brought home! Can’t wait to see how you use each one!
My husband does that too! Have you tried it in a dressing yet? It’s so good with a balsamic vinagrette. xo
I need to check out these shops Stacy. And that golf closet😂😂
When in doubt, check the golf closet. hahaha
Stacy,
You’ve sure got some amazing finds! I’ve never traveled up north and would love to go one day!
Thank you so much Lynn! You should come visit some time! xo
Would love to go to Vermont, so many great places to thrift and hunt in New England.
Loved so many pieces in these pictures.
Thank you so much Cindy! Thrifting in Vermont is SO different from where I am in NJ. I didn’t realize how different it is in in different parts of the country.
It’s going to be so much fun to see what you find all summer in Vermont Stacy! Loved everything you shared.
Thanks Kim! We are even going today! I hope I can find something for the garden. xo
