Do you love to go thrifting or antiquing and find pretty things with the best deals? Every trip is an adventure! Wait until you see the cool things I found this month while hunting the local thrift and antique shops.

When I hunt for cool vintage finds in New Jersey, I visit a variety of shops that sell a range of items from thrift stores, to antique stores and flea markets, as well as shops that sell vintage reproductions.

But when I’m in Vermont, there are so many more thrifting options available.

I love shopping at the local thrift and antique stores there and always find something cool to bring home.

The town where our cabin is even has a weekly outdoor antique market from spring through fall.

The thrifty finds at this market are endless.

I can’t wait to bring you along when that opens again this year.

Having a home in both states, I think it’s much easier to find things in VT than here in NJ.

If you are visiting from Robyn at Robyn’s French Nest, welcome! She has a beautiful home and I love her thrifty style.

What I Found Thrifting Near Me This Month

This month I visited a few stores searching for some architectural salvage, vintage items I can use in my gardens and end tables for my bedroom.

I found some gorgeous old chippy shutters at my favorite local vintage store.

Aren’t these green shutters totally amazing???

I also bought a few of these old chippy white shutters.

They are perfect to add texture and dimension.

And they make a great backdrop for greens and flowers.

For now, I hung the green shutters above my painted piano.

I love how they look!

Don’t you?

From the moment I saw them in the shop, I knew I had to have them! I’m so glad I bought them.

Thrifting Near Me

In addition to all my other on-going DIY projects, I want to renovate my bedroom on a budget.

Given what I already have, I would love to find some end tables that I could refinish and a pretty vintage chandelier.

Isn’t this chair awesome?

I stopped in the Habitat for Humanity Restore and found THE COOLEST things!

Of course I didn’t find what I was looking for, but check out these super amazing finds.

I thought this set would be SO COOL in our basement but it’s a little big for the space.

I found some other cool items at Chester Country Furnishings.

Check out this cool chandelier.

It’s a little too big for my house but I LOVE IT!

But then, look at these gorgeous lamps! I LOVE them too.

Depending on the end table I find for my bedroom, I would love to incorporate these too!

My Thrifting With the Gals Group

My friends and I share our in-store finds in Instagram stories every Wednesday at 1PM EST.

If you can’t make it at 1 to shop with us, the stories stay live for 24 hours. So if you want to come along in-store, be sure to stop by Instagram and check it out. And the stories will be saved to my highlight called Thrifting.

Let me introduce my friends who I’m thrifting with each week.

First we have Ann from Dabbling and Decorating. She has two homes that she thrifts for in both VT and Maine.

Next, we have my good friend Rachel from The Ponds Farmhouse who lives in NC.

Rachel is the queen of repurposing found items and super cool DIYs.

My friend Kristin from White Arrows Home lives in the Northwoods in Wisconsin.

Kristin not only goes out thrifting in her cute town, but she even has a shop of her own!

You’ve got to check it out!
