Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

It was a GORGEOUS week here! How was the weather where you are?

With the warm weather, I started cleaning up outside.

While walking around, I noticed some of my spring flowering bulbs are starting to break ground. It’s so nice to see that everything I planted is growing!

Because it was such a beautiful week, I had lunch with some friends at one of our favorite local restaurants.

I’ve known these ladies since our kids were very young. And although our kids have grown and moved in different directions, we’ve kept in touch and get together when we can.

They are best kind of forever friends to have.

While I was hanging out around town, I had a chance to drop in my favorite local shop, the Dainty Dandelion.

I found some AWESOME vintage goodies that I brought home!

Thrifting Near Me

Do you guys remember when I bought my coffee maker about a year ago? Well, I LOVE IT and it just stopped working out of the blue Friday morning.

And when I say it stopped working I mean, it powered on but would short out when I tried to brew a cup.

I hadn’t cleaned it in a while, so I ran some white vinegar (and apple cider vinegar cause I didn’t have enough white vinegar) through it several times.

And now it works like new!

I also got my hair cut this week. Did you see it in my Instagram stories?

I used to love my hair long, but now I’m enjoying it shoulder length.

What’s Happening at Bricks ‘n Blooms

I had a fun week on the blog so here’s a run-down in case you missed anything.

This week, I started preparing for warm summer nights on my deck! I learned the hard way last year because I waited TOO LONG to buy stuff for our deck at the cabin. When I tried to order things in May, most of the things I wanted were out of stock!

So this year, I’m getting on it early because I want to create a cozy outdoor living room on the lower deck here in NJ. CLICK HERE to see what I just bought!

If you are updating your outdoor living spaces, DO NOT WAIT to get started. With people staying home more, the supply won’t last. CLICK HERE to see some beautiful outdoor living inspo!

In addition to getting ready for summer, I finished decorating my dining room. Wait until you see how I decorated my china cabinet and hutch for spring!

There’s also been a lot of activity in my Facebook group. Come over and join the conversation HERE!

Oh and here’s a seed starting update…EVERYTHING SPROUTED! I am so excited about this! So far, I have sweet peas, snapdragons and iceland poppies. They don’t look like much right now, but they are growing!

Some of you have asked if it’s too late to start seeds indoors and the answer is NO! There is plenty of vegetable and flower seeds that you can start.

So get your supplies together and start sowing!

Amazing Inspiration from Around the Web

I love finding cool inspiration from around the web and wanted to share some of what I’m loving right now.

My favorite thing about blogging is the great friends I’ve made around the globe.

And I want to share some of them with you this week because they are really inspiring me.

I joined a dinnerware blog hop this week and loved my friend Emily from Le Cultivateur’s post about using everyday decor with her vintage dishes.
