Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms
What a week it was!
We are dropping Tori off at college today so she can start her first year. I can’t believe the day has come!
I’m holding back the tears as I’m typing this, but I’ll get through it. It’s hard you know? It seems like just yesterday she was my little buddy while Chris had the other two off and running at all of their activities.
I love her so much and will miss her terribly while she’s at school. While I miss them all, the last one leaving is a big one.

MY MAJOR BIG NEWS
Ok, so you know how I’ve mentioned here and there that I’ve got some big news to share and then it was like crickets.
Well, I am super excited to finally share it with you all today.
I WROTE MY FIRST BOOK!!!!!!
And I know you guys are going to love it because it is chock-full of information that you need to grow a beautiful and easy-care flower garden.
I spent all of October, November, December, and January writing this book while trying to keep my blog going at the same time and still doing all the things to manage the house. It was a bit challenging at times, but I did it and I’m really proud of the finished product.
And I worked with the most amazing publishing team whom which I could not have done this without. They are an incredible group of talented people that I am forever grateful to have had the privilege to work with.

If you are someone who is new to gardening, think you kill things, or just plain don’t think you have time to grow a gorgeous garden…I got you. Because this book was written specifically for you.
For so many years, I listened to my friends, neighbors, and acquaintances tell me they couldn’t grow things for whatever reason. And I wrote this book with each of you in mind.
You know who you are. xoxo
Learn the basics of gardening, easy care flowers to grow, and get plant combinations and flower garden designs that I created just for you all in one place. This book!
You can learn more about my book here and you can pre-order it here. I hope you learn a lot, are inspired to grow flowers, and enjoy this book as much as I did writing it.

What I’m Shopping For This Week
Since I am finally sharing news about my first book, I want to share a few creators who worked really hard on their books too that I LOVE and highly recommend!
- My good friend Allison from Finch and Folly’s book is publishing soon! Grab your copy now!
- My beautiful friend Karianne from Thistlewood Farms wrote another book about 10-minute decorating ideas. If you aren’t familiar with her, she shares the best tips and tricks for everything in your home.
- My great friend Lana from Lana Stenner is publishing her second book! And this one’s a delicious cookbook where each recipe looks better than the one before. Is that even possible? Get her book here. And if you didn’t read her first one about life on the farm with her sweet goats and family, you can grab it here.
- My good friend Leslie from My 100-Year-Old Home published her first book last year and let me tell you, it is fabulous!
- My beautiful friend Micha from Farmluxe published her first book last year too. She’s a fellow gardener with THE MOST GORGEOUS GARDENS. And her book is full of fabulous photos. You will not be disappointed. If you want flower inspiration, you want this book in your library.
