Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms
We had a great time celebrating my husband, Chris, in Vermont with the girls last weekend.
On Father’s Day, we went to Mount Snow and took the bluebird lift to the top of the mountain to kick around for a while.
Chris was super excited we rode up in the golden bubble.

The rest of the lift chairs are blue, so to hop on the golden one is a pretty big deal! xo
Once at the top, the views were totally amazing!

We hung out for a bit, had a little snack, then took the lift back down.
We considered hiking down, but wanted to get back so we could head back to New Jersey on the earlier side of the day.

So next time!
We’ve done it before.
It’s a pretty good hike if you are ever at Mount Snow.
Tori had her first summer swim meet yesterday.
After missing the season last summer due to the state of the world, it was really great seeing all the kids get back in the pool doing what they love.
Do you guys remember from a while ago that project we started in the basement?
You know the one with the electric fireplace where we made a new surround?

Well, we are back on the project!
It took a while to get the product for the surround and then we started on a bunch of projects outside.
You know how it goes.

So the basement was put on hold.
Now that we have everything we need to finish it, it’s game on.
Here’s an update on what it looks like in progress.

Doesn’t it look great so far?
It’s taking some time to install but it will look awesome when it’s done!

This month, it was my turn to host. So I was in charge of the main dish – and believe me, this one does NOT disappoint!
It’s super simple to make with lots of flavors and very minimal clean-up.
And it’s not your average 4th of July dish either.
Wait until you check out my dish and the 4th of July celebration menu.
Oh and we made a fun video for the party too. Check it out in the link below.
And finally, I shared a new container garden idea on YouTube this week.
Have you seen it yet?
It’s so cool – I planted a garden that helps keep mosquitos and bugs away when you are hanging out in your outdoor living spaces.
