Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

Snow, snow and more snow.

And we are getting more this week! We’ve not seen this much in such a short amount of time in New Jersey for quite some time.

For Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be fun to tell you how my husband and I met.

I was starting my first year in law school. Literally, that week.

So I told my friends this was it, I was getting serious about studying and I wasn’t going out anymore.

That weekend was going to be my last hurrah.

We were heading to Hoboken that night.

Have you been to Hoboken, NJ before?

It’s such a fun city and we used to go every single weekend.

Anyway, we weren’t sure where we were going yet.

We had trouble finding parking.

So we drove around to our favorite places looking for a place that would be in short walking distance.

We approached one of the bars we loved on 10th and Willow and would you believe…a spot was open right in front!

So we parked and went inside.

My girlfriend and I were the only females in there!

All guys.

Apparently there was a bachelor party and they were making the rounds to all the bars.

Well, being the few females in the bar, both my friend and I literally had a line of guys trying to talk to us.

It was pretty funny because that’s never happened before?

I looked across the room and there he was.

Our eyes met.

And it was truly one of those “Dream Weaver” kind of moments.

It took a while to get close enough to actually talk. The line of guys did not dissipate just because I saw Chris.

Every time I tried to start talking to him, another one jumped in front of him.

It was totally unreal!

And I remember him looking at me like – are you serious?

But we eventually bumped into each other, started chatting and that was pretty much it!

I am LOVING the before and after at my friend Anne’s house from Simply 2 Moms. She painted her laminate cabinets and they turned out AMAZING!!!
