Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms
Snow, snow and more snow.
And we are getting more this week! We’ve not seen this much in such a short amount of time in New Jersey for quite some time.
For Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be fun to tell you how my husband and I met.
I was starting my first year in law school. Literally, that week.
So I told my friends this was it, I was getting serious about studying and I wasn’t going out anymore.
That weekend was going to be my last hurrah.
We were heading to Hoboken that night.
Have you been to Hoboken, NJ before?
It’s such a fun city and we used to go every single weekend.
Anyway, we weren’t sure where we were going yet.
We had trouble finding parking.
So we drove around to our favorite places looking for a place that would be in short walking distance.
We approached one of the bars we loved on 10th and Willow and would you believe…a spot was open right in front!
So we parked and went inside.
My girlfriend and I were the only females in there!
All guys.
Apparently there was a bachelor party and they were making the rounds to all the bars.
Well, being the few females in the bar, both my friend and I literally had a line of guys trying to talk to us.
It was pretty funny because that’s never happened before?
I looked across the room and there he was.
Our eyes met.
And it was truly one of those “Dream Weaver” kind of moments.
It took a while to get close enough to actually talk. The line of guys did not dissipate just because I saw Chris.
Every time I tried to start talking to him, another one jumped in front of him.
It was totally unreal!
And I remember him looking at me like – are you serious?
But we eventually bumped into each other, started chatting and that was pretty much it!

I’ve had a busy week on the blog and shared quite a bit, so here’s a run-down in case you missed anything.
We set up my seed starting system in the basement.
Wait until you see what I’m using for the shelves!
And since I’m over the snow already, I started thinking all about decorating for spring and my plans for the garden.
Check out these 13 spring home decor and garden ideas.
While I’m getting in the spirit of spring, I joined some good friends in an early spring tablescape tour. Everyone’s tables look so gorgeous!
You can check them out HERE.
I uploaded a new video to YouTube that chats about houseplants. If you missed it, CLICK HERE to check it out!

Amazing Inspiration from Around the Web
I love finding cool inspiration from around the web and wanted to share some of what I’m loving right now.
My favorite thing about blogging is the great friends I’ve made around the globe.
And I want to share some of them with you this week because they are really inspiring me.
I am LOVING the before and after at my friend Anne’s house from Simply 2 Moms. She painted her laminate cabinets and they turned out AMAZING!!!
If you want to change the look of your laminate cabinets, this is how she did it!
I also really love my friend Kippi’s DIY cake stand from Kippi at Home! Isn’t it so cute? I want to make a few for my home too.
Here is some more amazing inspo from around the web!
Love all these furniture makeover DIY ideas. I have a few projects coming up so I’m totally pinning these.

These windowsill decorating ideas are so beautiful.
And this post is so creative about repurposing cabinet doors.
OMG this app sounds so good! I’ve got to try it.
And these sound really good too! I love pretty much anything with peanut butter!
