Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

What a week it was!

I spent all week packing for the move.

And then, at the very end of the week, the sale of our house fell through.

So we are back on the market.

On another note, my girls went back to school earlier in the week.

It was so nice having them both home.

But I’m looking forward to them returning next week for the holidays.

What’s Happening at Bricks ‘n Blooms

It was a fun week on the blog!

I shared our last Christmas in our home tour on the blog this week.

Doing these seasonal home tours is one of my favorite things to do.

It’s so fun to decorate and then share it with everyone!

And the best part?

Rustic Farmhouse Christmas Decorating Ideas

My home tour is part of the Bloggers’ Best Holiday Home Tour hosted by my good friend Kelly from The Tattered Pew where 30 super talented home decor bloggers decorate and share their homes.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the tour – EVERYONE’S homes look so gorgeous!

It always amazes me how different we all decorate!

There’s something in this home tour for everyone so be sure to check it out all the inspo at the end of the post HERE.

How to Care for Poinsettias

In addition to sharing my home tour, we chatted about indoor gardening this week.

Have you bought a poinsettia yet for the season?

If you bought one or want to give one as a gift, HERE is everything you need to know about poinsettia care.

Although they are beautiful, live poinsettias have not been my thing.

Maybe someday I’ll try working with them, but for now, I’m sticking with faux.

We also chatted about one of my FAVORITE indoor flowers.

I grew a few varieties last year and truly enjoyed them!

HERE is everything you need to know about growing my favorite winter flowers.

And finally, I shared how to set a cozy holiday table on Instagram this week.

It’s a short 3-minute video that details everything you need to host a fabulous cozy holiday dinner party.

Amazing Inspiration from Around the Web

I love finding cool inspiration from around the web and wanted to share some of what I’m loving right now.

One of my favorite tours from the Holiday Home Tours is my good friend Jen at Midwest Life and Style.

I am SO vibing with the tartan plaid!

Another favorite from the tour is my good friend Jennifer from Cottage on Bunker Hill.

I LOVE how she decorated her home for the holidays don’t you?

And you know I’m always a huge fan of my good friend Kim from Shiplap and Shells pretty home.

I love the vintage vibe in her beautiful cottage in the Pacific Northwest.

My good friend Rachel from the Ponds Farmhouse shared her best tips for keeping greenery fresh.

Thank you so much for following along.

Enjoy a beautiful day! xo

  3. I’m sorry your house deal fell through. Does this affect your next home move in timeline? It’s always hard to yield to God’s ways but gratefully having your daughter’s home with you in those beautiful spaces will bring you all goodness and cheer. And oh boy I’m glad you went ahead and decorated for Christmas.
