Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms
What a week it was!
We quietly celebrated my forever 49th birthday and hosted our family for Thanksgiving this week.
It was really nice to hang out and spend time with everyone after not gathering with as many last year.
As part of our celebration, we toasted our last Thanksgiving here at the house.
We are moving in less than two weeks!!!
Like it’s happening so fast!
We packed up the whole basement last weekend and are working on the garage and shed this weekend.
To help us pare things down, we rented a dumpster and have been selling, donating, and tossing A LOT!
The girls packed up their rooms before they head back to college and we’ll be packing up the main floor over the next week.
We are super excited about this move and I can’t wait to show you the new house!!!
But just to share a LITTLE bit about the new house…
It’s a 4 bedroom farmhouse from the 1800’s.
The house is set back on several acres with expansive gardens.
There aren’t any cottage gardens that I could tell, but I will add that vibe this spring.
Since there are SO many gardens to work with there, I’m going to focus on one area per season and maintain the rest.
To take on more would be overwhelming and I’m all about working in smaller pieces to make it more manageable.
There are two small ponds on the property and a pool.
I’ve always wanted a pool so I’m super excited about that!
But the best part?
There is room for a greenhouse!
I’m sure it’s not something we’ll do in the first year, but it is definitely in the near future plans.
I really can’t wait to tell and show you more!
2022 is going to be a lot of fun.
I’ll miss my gardens here, but I’m looking forward to the change.
