Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

What a week it was!

We had such a great time at my sister-in-law’s 60th birthday party last week.

It poured the whole drive down to the Long Beach Island, but amazingly enough, cleared up for her fabulous party!

The food and drinks were fantastic.

And we got to see friends and family we haven’t seen in quite some time.

We also spent some time in Vermont getting our last licks in for summer.

It was gorgeous weather so we enjoyed some boat time and hiked Mount Snow.

This week, I also spent some time decorating for fall.

I didn’t do much but started.

I was inspired while out for a run because here in northwest NJ, the foliage is turning and the leaves are starting to fall.

So it’s time.

For starters, we talked about fall gardening and what to plant besides mums.

As I’ve mentioned before, mums have a place in the fall garden, but there are SO many other plants that will give you more mileage in the borders.
