Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

It was a gorgeous week here in New Jersey! We had some crazy high winds, but aside from that, the gardens are growing and I’m ready to start planting stuff!

The fence arrived for the new shed garden, so Chris started working on that over the weekend.

It looks so good!

I can’t wait to show you.

I also had a bunch of soil and compost delivered for the vegetable garden. So I spent most of the day yesterday filling the beds.

And, we also had some stone delivered. I am so exhausted hauling it from the driveway to the backyard for the vegetable garden border.

But it’s looking great so it’s worth it.

The attic renovation is coming along. We passed all of our inspections and are ready to start sheetrocking next week!

My girls are both home from college now. So it’s nice having everyone all under one roof again.

Chris and I went out Friday night to a small event.

We had such a good time!

It was so nice to get out and mingle a little after being home for the last year.

What’s Happening at Bricks ‘n Blooms

It was a busy week for the blog. We did lots of fun things here this week.

Hardening Off Plants After Starting Seeds Indoors

Since the weather has been so favorable, I started hardening off my seedlings to prepare them for life out in the garden.

If you started seeds indoors or are planning to move your houseplants outside, you need to do THIS before they remain outdoors.

Amazing Inspiration from Around the Web

I love finding cool inspiration from around the web and wanted to share some of what I’m loving right now.

My favorite thing about blogging is the great friends I’ve made around the globe.

And I want to share some of them with you this week because they are really inspiring me.

My good friend Jennifer from Cottage on Bunker Hill does so many cute crafts! I love this birdhouse candlestick she made.

Isn’t it adorable?

I totally want to make these!

And looks so easy to make.

I love it!

And I’m also enjoying:

These porch decor ideas.

These ideas bring the outdoors in.

These design ideas make a room feel bigger.

I really enjoyed this wine tasting and historical tour too.

These Mother’s Day finds.

I love these Father’s Day gift ideas.

These Mother’s Day brunch recipes.

And I’m loving these ideas for pretty decor vignettes.
