In the Garden

Now that the outdoor season has come to a close, I’ve been busy caring more for my indoor plants (whether they like it or not (LOL).

It’s been a while since bringing them in and they could each use a shower, so I scooped up a few here and there to give them a good washdown making sure to get the top and underside of the leaves. My smaller plants, I do in my kitchen sink. But the larger ones, I take to the shower. And yes, it’s a little laborious but it gets me up close and personal with each one to see if anyone is having any issues.

And so far, so good!

Decorating for the Holidays

It has begun!!! Last year, I did it all Thanksgiving weekend and it was too much work after hosting the holiday. So this year, I decided I’m decorating the front entry hall first since it’s natural, neutral, rustic elegance, and then I’ll do the rest after Thanksgiving.

My friend Arden came over to help me out, and let me tell you, it looks so pretty but I am super pissed at the new cluster lights I bought. Because THEY DON’T WORK AT ALL after 24 hours of having them up!

I checked to make sure it wasn’t a fuse, tried to plug them in elsewhere, did all the things and then had Chris check for me too. Nada.

So now, I have to remove all the decorations, take the whole garland down, unstring it, and use something else. What a waste of precious time.

DO NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS!
