In the Garden

I’m still planting! We had a ton of rain this week that seriously hampered my container gardening efforts, but I got alot accomplished nontheless.

This week, I potted up about half of my planters in the zen garden, added a beautiful petunia border in the cottage garden, planted the secret garden and pond with both impatiens and sunpatiens…and the list goes on!

And of course, while I’m busy planting weeds are popping up everywhere so there is that too. I’ve definitely got my work cut out for me, but there’s no place I would rather be this time of year.

This week, my bearded irises and alliums are almost all blooming. My peonies are budding up, which is always exciting. And my houseplants have made the adjustment to outdoor living for the season. I still need to move a few around to get the look that I want, but for now? It’s all good until I’m done planting the beds.

As an aside, purple hues have taken over in the welcome garden and front porch area. I love the serenity of the blooms and foliage, don’t you?

My Mother’s Day

Last Mother’s Day Weekend, I found some great garden decor and a cute little fox statue at Ziegler’s in Andover, NJ. Chris and I stopped in on Saturday to see what they had. On Sunday, we went out to a beautiful brunch, enjoyed some pool time and thai takeout – my favorite.
