My Cinco de Mayo Celebration Table Decor Idea

For my take on Cinco de Mayo, I was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest.

Do you look at Pinterest for inspiration too?

I saw someone use a sombrero for a chip bowl and thought that was such a cool idea for a centerpiece.

To keep things simple, I used this cool Cinco de Mayo celebration table runner with this sombrero.

When the girls arrive, I’ll add the chips to the sombrero.

But for now you get the point.

To add some flowers to the table, I used these vintage ball jars, faux anemones and ferns.

I just love anemones, don’t you?

This year, I would love to add some to my garden. But I digress.

For each place setting, I started with these cedar branch placemats from Pier 1. They have not had them in stock for a while, I hope they bring them back because they are my favorite table decor item.

In addition to the cedar branch placemats, I added these beautiful dark rattan chargers.

I love and use these all the time because I just love the texture.

Then I added my everyday dinnerware, with a red linen napkin.

For fun, I topped each place setting off with these mini sombreros that are actually headbands! So each of the girls can bring one home.

Since Jen is making margaritas, I needed to set each place setting with margarita glasses!

As an added touch, I tucked in these adorable mariachis.

Because the hutch looked kind of bland, I added some fun Cinco de Mayo banners and paper fans just to add a little more color.

  1. Oh my gosh. How fun is this? I love that the little sombreros are headbands. Save a spot for me at the table and I’ll come over and mix up those margs.😘

    1. I can’t Jen! I tried having my dogs model the sombreros but they weren’t having it yesterday hahahaha xo
