Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms
What a week it was!
Shana decided to come home for the weekend so we had a great time spending time with her before she heads back to Ohio State today.
We went thrifting and found some goodies.
And we also did our tour de outdoor living spaces here at the new house.
The weather was not the warmest its been.
But it was a lot of fun and I’m so glad she was able to come home and spend a few days with us.
I am leaving today for Houston with a final destination of Roundtop, Texas.
It’s so exciting to travel and meet my blogging besties in real life!
So many of them I met like 4 years ago when I started out and we’ve never hung out in real life.
We will have the best time!
I’m a little nervous about presenting but have been practicing my talk so I’m hoping it goes smoothly.
And if the attendees leave with a few good tips from my presentation, I will have been successful.
In the Garden
The hellebores and daffodils are blooming like crazy here!
It’s WONDERFUL to see them start to bloom this early too.
At my old house, I don’t think the daffodils have gotten started yet.
So I’m thrilled it has here already.
And there are so many patches of daffodil bulbs too, that I cut some to make small bouquets throughout the house.
Nothing fancy, but just fresh flowers from the garden!
Home Renovations
We wrapped up the family room and kitchen for now.
The wall and trim are all painted and it looks AMAZING!!!
Our family room feels like a whole different space.
And definitely much larger too.
Eventually, we’ll paint the built-in and kitchen cabinets but for now, this works.
Here’s a sneak peak!
What’s Happening at Bricks ‘n Blooms
It was a fun week on the blog!
We’ve been thinking a lot about the arrival of spring this week.
I shared my first spring home tour since we moved in.
And since sharing it, my family room is finished and we started painting the railings in the front entry!
Eeeek!
I’m going to paint the rest of the room when I get back from Texas.
Care to guess what color I painted the stair railing? Let me know in the comments below.
We also chatted about what easy-care flowers to plant that attract butterflies to the garden.
Since spring planting season is here, start shopping for these plants today and get them in the ground ASAP so you can enjoy the butterflies this season.
And while we’re chatting about the garden, we also talked about how to bring your plants back to life after a long, dark winter.
Revive your plants with THESE simple tips.
