Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

What a week it was!

We are full steam ahead with the move.

Our mover gave us some tips to pare things down and get organized for the big day.

I ordered lots of moving boxes and packing materials.

And we are now looking at 23 years of living here and thinking…how did we accumulate so much stuff???

As of now, we are scheduled to move mid-December, so the clock is ticking to get things done!

LET’S GO!!!!!

We are hosting the last Thanksgiving here at our home before the move so I’ve been preparing for that too.

Everyone is coming so we are going to have over 20 guests!

Will be so fun to celebrate with our family again after not gathering last year.

Did I tell you guys that?

Yes, this birthday is a big one and it is the day before Thanksgiving.

So we’ll celebrate over the holiday weekend.

But since I’m still recovering from surgery, we’ll be taking it easy.

Oh and my girls are coming home this weekend for Thanksgiving break.

I can’t wait for them both to come home.

And it will be nice to spend some time with them celebrating it all.

  1. Happy early bday!!! I hope your staying in NJ, I cant believe you are leaving your beautiful yard, it’s not fun to start over but I hope you love your new home and cant wait to see it

    1. Thanks so much Debbie! We are staying in NJ and not moving far at all! In fact, we’ll be local to our home now. I will miss my gardens for sure but am excited for the the new adventure. Wait until you see the gardens there!

  3. My parents moved on Christmas Eve and left the tree decorating at the new house to me, a 5th grader, and my sister who was in first. It was a Christmas I actually remember! Best of luck on the move. Can’t wait to see more!

    1. Thank you so much Rachel! THat’s quite a story! I’m hoping we can get in, unpack and decorate a little before the holidays but we’ll see. Not going to overachieve this year – moving is a lot of work!
