Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

What a week it was!

It was a bit quiet here overall from the norm.

I didn’t do a whole lot because…I had surgery on Tuesday and just came home on Thursday.

It was pretty major too.

The day after my surgery.

I had to have a hysterectomy due to uterine fibroids that made me severely anemic.

I didn’t even realize how sick I was, until about a month ago, I needed to be hospitalized from severe anemia.

As a mom, I’m so used to just going, going, and going, that I just didn’t realize how depleted my body was from the anemia.

Chris and I in the ER in Ohio.

To make a long story short, I haven’t been feeling great the last several months but I gotta tell you.

Even though I’m post-op, I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER!!!

And the recovery is going well.

Before the surgery, the fibroids were so big, I looked and felt like I was pregnant.

Home after the surgery.

I was so weighted down from them!

But after being home the last few days, I’m more mobile and feeling a little better and a little stronger every day.

So all is well now.

Now that we’ve got the fibroids out, I’m feeling a lot better but taking things slow.

But I have even more news.

WE ARE MOVING!!!!!

This one has been under wraps for a bit.

But we found a gorgeous home locally that we are super excited about.

And now, just waiting on a buyer for my home.

And yes, I will miss my gardens, but seriously…wait until you see the new house.

The gardens are incredible!

I can’t wait to show you.

  5. Stacy..my first post to you…
Well, I am well over the age of the majority of your followers…(83 YEARS, 11 months.). I must say first and foremost……always take care of your health FIRST and the great joys of your life will only get sweeter. As I am well over the age of decorating and moving (Ass’t to an Interior Designer for years, and a Realtor for many years after that), I certainly understand what you are going through. Such excitement and new delights every day of your life….. family, friends, business, etc. which can only come if you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our lives go by so quickly and before you know it, many of your passions are behind you, not always by choice. Enjoy every day as a new adventure. My best wishes to you and your family with your re-newed health, and your new home as well….TREASURE YOUR BLESSINGS DAILY!! Patty

  6. Stacy,
    You look so good even
In the hospital! I’d never show my post op photos. Actually there are none. Lol. Thanks fir sharing my post and I can’t wait to see more about your new house. Take care and get better soon.

    1. Thanks Rachel!!! It’s funny – even in the hospital the nurses the next day were said I didn’t look like I just had surgery (aside from the gown and stuff) hahaha.

  7. Hi Stacy – Wow girl, you are on the road to recovery and prayer our way. Life is a challenge and you are facing it with lot of people encouraging you.
My best to you and your family. God is good always. In the hard times we acknowledge this more.

  8. Glad to hear you did well with your surgery, just do exactly what the doctor says (retired nurse here…LOL).
Congratulations on the new home – may you enjoy many great years in it and make wonderful memories in it.
