Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

We had a great short week here after the holiday weekend.

The carpet was installed in the attic and I shopped for some furniture for the new office.

Yesterday, my husband and I started moving things up to the office to get it ready to use.

I am so excited to have this new working space where I can close a door and get things done.

But I will miss my living room sofa.

I spent some time in the gardens this week staking plants and pinching back some of the seedlings so they will get bushier as they grow.

And we watched another school year come to a close. My youngest just finished up her sophomore year in high school.

It’s really crazy how fast time flies.

What’s Happening at Bricks ‘n Blooms

It was a busy week for the blog. We did lots of fun things here this week on the blog.

Earlier in the week, I brought you on a garden tour around all the beds here in my suburban New Jersey garden.

I can’t believe how gorgeous the gardens are this year.

Wait until you see what’s blooming today.

And yesterday, I shared some renovation updates on our cabin in Vermont.

For those of you that are new to following me, we purchased a cabin in Vermont a few years ago that was documented on an episode of HGTV’s Househunters.

Because the cabin is 4 hours from our home in New Jersey, it is challenging to work on it.

But we’ve done a lot, particularly to the outdoor living space.

And you know how much I love my outdoor living spaces.

Amazing Inspiration from Around the Web

I love finding cool inspiration from around the web and wanted to share some of what I’m loving right now.

I am a HUGE fan of my Rachel from the Ponds Farmhouse weekly DIY projects. So this one is no exception.

How awesome would this wood obelisk look in my garden?

I need to make it.

I love my friend Mary from Life at Bella Terra’s take on mixing both real and faux flowers for a gorgeous look.

Can you tell the difference between real and faux flowers? Some faux flowers these days look incredibly real!

And I love how my good friend Kristin from White Arrows Home made a quick fix to update this beautiful piece.

I love how it turned out!
