Hi there!

I hope you had an amazing week!

What a week!!!!

We started it off with a massive snowstorm that gave us about 22 inches of heavy snow. While we have a plowing service, he bailed on us early Monday morning and never came back.

Chris tried snowblowing what he could but the snow was too heavy for our snowblower, so he and I both shoveled at least 200 yards by ourselves. It was nuts!

Thankfully, our landscaping crew, Blue Mountain Landscaping, came to the rescuerand plowed the rest of our driveway out on Tuesday. I don’t think we could have done much more and my back is still aching!

A snow-covered garden with a green trellis fence, dried hydrangea flowers topped with snow, and trees in the background. The ground, benches, and fence are all blanketed with fresh snow.

I met up with some friends this week for a fun night of Bunko. Have you played before? I never have so it was fun to learn. We played with a nominal $5 fee for a small prize. I had no idea how important scoring and keeping track of the wins and losses would be. Suffice it to say, I did not do the best job of that so I did not win anything. LOL! Next time though…next time.

A group of eleven women, smiling and casually dressed, pose together in a warmly lit kitchen in front of a window with patterned curtains. Some are standing, while others are kneeling in front of them.

My oldest daughter Mackenzie is moving again, so she brought a uhaul home this weekend to take a bunch of things with her as she relocates from Brooklyn to Manhattan later today. It was wonderful having her home and she finally got to meet our new little kitties!

Two black cats sit and lie on a cozy, fur-covered chaise lounge in a bright, plant-filled living room with a patterned rug, throw pillows, and large windows.

We also met up with my sister in law and her family, Tori, Clay and some friends for dinner on Friday night and had the best time.

A group of eight adults, both men and women, are standing close together, smiling and taking a selfie indoors. They appear happy and are dressed in smart casual clothing.

Big news!!! This week my third book, Filling Your Home with Life, went live for preorder — and it feels especially meaningful. This one isn’t just another garden book; it’s about taking everything you already know about growing outdoors and bringing that confidence inside your home. I wrote it for gardeners and plant lovers who have ever felt stuck between a thriving outdoor garden and a less-than-thriving houseplant collection — you’re not alone, and this book shows you how to make indoor plants feel joyful instead of intimidating. It’s been a long time coming, and I’m so grateful to finally share it.

You can preorder my new book here. Preorders truly make a difference — they help signal strong support to publishers and booksellers, which can open doors for wider distribution and future projects.

Thank you for supporting my work!

🌿 Organic Garden Care I Always Reach For

This week my third book is available for preorder — something I’ve been working on behind the scenes for quite a while, and I’m so grateful to see it’s finally out in the world.

I also shared the houseplant that looks like a watermelon (and how to keep it happy indoors), along with why I put terra cotta pots on my garden stakes — a post that resonated in a big way this week.

There’s a new post on supporting dahlias properly so they stay upright and beautiful all season long.

And over on YouTube, I talked about when it’s time to open your winter sowing lids, plus the winter sowing mistakes I’ve made over the years and what I do differently now.

A stone tiered fountain stands in the center of a cut flower garden, surrounded by blooming pink and purple dahlia flowers and green foliage, with trees and a brick pathway in the background.

Thank you so much for following along.

Enjoy a beautiful day! xo
