What a week it was!

Behind the Scenes

We are still picking up the pieces after the loss of our sweet dog. It’s been a hard week and we really miss him.

My youngest daughter went back to school this week to start her sophmore year. I’m really excited for her but truly miss her being around! She’s one of my besties and not seeing her every day is hard on this mama.

Chris and I are spending Labor Day Weekend in Vermont with our sweet dog, Koda. She’s having a tough time adjusting to life without her buddy. The trip up was especially hard on her as they would snuggle together in the backseat.

We stayed with her all weekend and took her everywhere we went! She went thrifting with us at the flea market and even spent some time on the boat with us for the first time!

I wasn’t sure how she was going to do on the boat and she was little nervous at first but she loved it! We took her for a spin and stopped off on a few islands so she could run around. It was really fun!

A black dog stands in the shallow water of a lake, looking into the distance. The lake is calm, with dense green trees covering the hilly shoreline in the background. A small boat is visible on the lake in the distance.

In the Garden

Rabbit damage is winding down, my gomphrena is popping in Flora Lane, and the dahlias have finally hit their stride! I was able to make more than a few flower arrangements with them over the last week and the blooms are spectacular.

Speaking of incredible flowers, Floret Flower’s celosia is GINORMOUS! So pretty in a vase but grew way taller than I was expecting! I love it don’t get me wrong but wow is it tall. I definately want to save the seeds for next years gardens but I will plant it in different locations.

Architectural Digest Feature!

I’ve got huge news! I was featured in Architectural Digest this week to discuss low-maintenance gardening. It’s a huge honor to be included in such an amazing publication and I can’t wait for you guys to check out this informative article.
