What a week it was!

A Loss

If I am being completely honest here, it was very difficult to do much more this week than care for my ailing dog. When we last chatted, I told you guys about how bad his arthritis was, he was in a lot of pain and we were switching his meds to help manage it.

Well, the pain meds started working about a day in, but his labored breathing became progressively worse. And it got so bad, that we lost him this week and I can’t tell how you heartbroken my family and I are.

He was such a sweet boy who loved to cuddle and just be with you. It was really hard watching him go through this and it’s even harder now that he’s gone. My other dog Koda seems a little lost without him and we’ve been trying to adjust to the new normal.

So if I’ve seemed a bit quiet on social media this week, this is why.

My Front Porch

My front porch is FILLED to the brim with my houseplants. Because I have so many and want to bring them outdoors to summer, I stuff them along the house where they get full shade so the leaves don’t scorch and can enjoy the humidity.

They are doing so well!!! It took me a few years to figure out where everyone will go here because I needed time to learn how intense the sunlight was on my front and back porches.

Here are just a few of the plants I’ve been growing on the front porch! It looks like a jungle.

It’s been a random week of stuff! I’m starting to look at fall decor for my home and of course, needed a few odds and ends for the garden. Here’s what I’m shopping for this week!

For the Garden

If you are getting ready for fall like I am, here are my fall garden essentials. But there are a few other odds and ends I am restocking up on before I get busy planting this week!

  • I bought a bag of slow-release fertilizer for my fall plantings in pots and houseplants. They are getting their last feed this week as I repot a few.

For My Home

  • I bought this area rug for my family room that I told you about last week for the family room. It arrived this week and looks SOOOOOO good! I can’t wait to show you how it looks. It changed the whole feel of the room.

These are the most popular products on my blog this week!
