Anthropologie Fall looks for 2024 include a cozy and elegant living room and bedroom with neutral decor

Fall Decorating Ideas for Less: Anthropologie Edition

Let’s do some comparison shopping at Anthropologie for fall decor ideas to get a similar look for less. And just to get you thinking about how to decorate on a budget for the seasons long-term, we’ll review how to decorate with neutrals together with some fall decorating ideas. It’s important to note, that while these are looks for different spaces, you can mix and match some of the finds to come up with your own style and budget.

Anthropologie Rustic Elegant Living Room: Cozy & Chic

This inviting living room is all about relaxed elegance. The neutral color palette, natural textures, and mix of modern and vintage-inspired pieces create a space that’s both stylish and comfortable. Let’s break down the key elements:

  • The Sectional: This oversized sectional is perfect for lounging and entertaining. Its light color and relaxed silhouette give it a casual yet sophisticated feel.
  • The Coffee Table: The round marble coffee table adds a touch of luxury and visual interest. Its unique base complements the overall aesthetic of the room.
  • The Rug: A neutral rug with subtle texture grounds the space and adds warmth underfoot.
  • The Bookshelf: A modern look with relaxed elegance for fall decor and storage.
  • The Accessories: Throw pillows in warm colors, a unique vase with flowers, and decorative objects on the shelves complete the look.

Lets Get Started!

We’ll begin by exploring Anthropologie’s offerings for each key element, noting their prices. Then, we’ll embark on a treasure hunt for budget-friendly dupes that capture the same aesthetic and functionality. Get ready to create your own cozy conversation haven without sacrificing style or your savings!

If we just run with the big ticket items like the coffee table, cabinet, area rug, chaise, and accent chair, the space would cost a whopping $10,090! Tack on the extra decor and we’d be at about $11,230 to get the look.

While I found great alternatives for most of the furniture and decor, Anthropologie’s glassware is already so well-priced and distinctive, I found it was hard to beat.

Anthropologie Dupes for a Rustic Elegant Living Room

The total for this living room dupe, furniture and $2043!!! That’s a $9,187 in saving! While this look doesn’t scream fall, there’s a soothing autumm color palette in the basics. But the best part?

When the holidays or spring roll around, swap out a few throw pillows, tuck in some beautiful plants and greenery, and you’ve got a simple cozy designer look for less that transcends the seasons.

Cottagecore Bedroom: Romantic Retreat for Fall

I am planning to redo my bedroom this year and I definately want to recreate this look! Because this dreamy bedroom exudes romance and comfort. The mix of textures and patterns in the bedding creates a layered and inviting look. The dark wood bed frame adds a touch of vintage charm.

  • The Bed: A classic four-poster bed in dark wood anchors the space and sets the tone for the room.
  • The Bedding: The combination of quilted, ruffled, and woven textures adds depth and dimension. The floral and geometric patterns create visual interest.
  • The Pillows: A variety of pillows in different shapes, sizes, and colors adds personality and comfort.

Let’s Get Started!

We’ll begin our shopping journey by browsing Anthropologies’s selection for each key element, taking note of their distinct characteristics and price points. Then, we’ll venture into the world of affordable dupes, seeking out pieces that capture the same essence without compromising on style. Get ready to transform your bedroom into a cozy neutral haven that reflects your refined taste and budget-conscious approach!

Feel free to mix and match—perhaps you’ll splurge on the perfect Pottery Barn bed frame while opting for budget-friendly alternatives for the bedding and accessories. It’s all about creating a space that feels uniquely yours!

To get this beautiful bedding look, we’d have to spend a whopping $3,139! I mean…it’s cozy and gorgeous but that’s a lot to shell out on just the bed and bedding. Don’t you agree? Let’s see how much we can save to get this Anthropologie look for less!

Anthropologie Dupes For a Cottagecore Bedroom

The total for this bedding Anthropologie dupe is $1,321!!! That’s like 2/3 of the savings, can you believe it?

My Anthropologie-Inspired Bedroom Dupe Makeover

I was so inspired by Anthropologie’s cottagecore bedroom look that I decided to transform my own bedroom using budget-friendly dupes, and I’m thrilled with the results! Because I have a vintage floral wall to wall carpet, I wanted to pull back on the different patterns and play with the color scheme I have. Here’s how I recreated that romantic, cozy vibe without breaking the bank.

  • The Bed Frame: I found a dark wood four-poster bed at Wayfair that mirrors Anthropologie’s vintage charm for just $1100—nearly half the price of the original! Its sturdy design and classic lines anchor the room beautifully. And it is extremely well-made!
  • The Bedding: To capture the layered, textured look, I mixed a quilted cream comforter from Amazon ($49) with floral sheets and pillow cases also from Amazon ($79). I already had a solid quilt and shams from The Company Store, so I just reused those.
  • The Pillows: I went all out with three buffalo check euro shams with ruffles ($54) from Amazon. They add a soft cottagecore touch to my space.
  • The Accessories: A brass table lamp from Homegoods that I bought several years ago. My side tables are also from Wayfair for $360.

The Bottom Line

The total cost for my bedroom makeover came to about $1642—way less than the $3,139 for Anthropologie’s original look! Of course, I already had some pieces that I reused to create it but that’s the whole point! You don’t have to toss your decor to get the look for less. Find ways to make it better so your look is updated, but unique to you!

I love how the space feels like a cozy, romantic retreat, perfect for fall. By mixing high and low pieces, I created a look that’s uniquely mine while staying true to that Anthropologie aesthetic. This space will continue to evolve as I like to take my time with decorating, but I love where it is going.

Do You Splurge or Save?

While we still may or may not pay the designer prices, it clearly pays to shop around. You may decide to splurge on the bigger pieces, but shop the look for smaller decorative items. At the end of the day it’s a matter of preference.

As an aside, I found that in some cases, Anthropologie had the better product AND price! So find your inspiration, measure your dimensions, shop around for the look, and make smart purchases.
