Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

What a week it was!

The weather was perfect here almost all week long, so I spent a lot of time in the garden planting my fall container gardens and prettying up the beds for fall.

We had such a hot, humid and buggy summer, it’s been so nice getting back outside into the garden again!

I love planting new things and having fun with flowers.

Celebrating with Christopher and Stacy Ling

It was Chris’ birthday this week!

We went out to dinner with Tori who was representing for her sisters while they are at college.

And we decided to head up to Vermont at the last minute so we could see the pretty foliage changing.

It’s so beautiful there this time of year!

And my parents came for a quick overnight on their way back from Burlington.

We went out to dinner, did some hiking and had a fun time!

In addition to bringing you on the tour in my blog, I shared my fall home tour in my latest YouTube video.

While I share how I decorated my kitchen, living room, and dining room for fall, you’ve got to see some of my DIYs up close – it’s so different seeing them on video than looking at them on the blog!

Amazing Inspiration from Around the Web

I love finding cool inspiration from around the web and wanted to share some of what I’m loving right now.

Since I participate in a few home tours this week, I want to highlight a few of my favorites for you.

Their homes and decorating styles are truly unique and beautiful.

And I’m inspired to do a few new things next year!

One of my favorite fall home tours was my good friend Pasha from Pasha is Home.

I also really enjoyed my good friend Robyn’s home from Robyn’s French Nest. She has such a talent for mixing vintage and thrifted items and her home looks amazing for fall.

My good friend Jennifer from Cottage on Bunker Hill always amazes me with her beautiful DIYs.

And I LOVE seeing them all in her fall home tour on the blog.

But I really enjoyed seeing them up close in her latest video home tour. CLICK HERE to watch.

And finally, my good friend Rachel from the Ponds Farmhouse shared an amazing fall home tour of her industrial farmhouse on both her blog and YouTube.

I usually tour my friends’ homes from the blogs so it was such a treat to see it via video because I really felt like I was there!
