Looking for ways to decorate with spring flowers? Wait until you see how to decorate this table for spring.

The inspiration behind my spring tablescape are these gorgeous faux peonies.

I just love peonies and since we are one day closer to peony season, they are the focus of this table decor idea.

Since peonies are not in season yet where I live, I found these real touch faux peonies and boy do they look authentic!

When I decorate, I love to bring the outdoors in with lots of greens, florals and natural, textured elements.

This year, I’m drawn to neutrals, so this tablescape has lots of woods, whites, and textured layers.

How to Create this Spring Flowers Tablescape

Layers, layers, and more layers.

Think layers when creating any tablescape because they bring warmth and personality to the table.

When you are able to go out shopping, pick up dining accessories that you can re-use over and over again.

I create a lot of different looks using the same basic pieces.

Since many of us are shut down, look around your home and see what you already have in lieu of shopping.

You might be surprised at the cool things you have hidden in storage.

Be creative and most importantly, have fun with it!

Decorating a Table with Spring Flowers

Since I love to leave my farmhouse wood table exposed, I started with this beautiful jute table runner from Pier 1.

I centered the spring centerpiece, then flanked both sides with these brass candlesticks from Target.

To add some mood lighting, I used white tapered candles.

For each place setting, I layered placemats, chargers and dinnerware. I started with my favorite cedar branch placemats from Pier 1, then topped it with two beautiful chargers from Pier 1.

One is wood and the other is melamine.

As an aside, I love how these placemats make each place setting look.

They vibe well with my garden-style decor and I use them in almost every tablescape.

Guests love them and they are worth the purchase.

To add some elegance, I used my neutral Lenox fine china that was passed down to me from my grandmother.

Whenever I can, I try to incorporate my Lenox in tablescapes because it is nice to be able to use them instead of keeping them tucked away in storage.

And I love the gold rims on them!

It adds a touch of sparkle to a casual tablescape without overpowering it.

I wanted to add more of a rustic touch to each table setting, so I added these small bird nests on top of each salad plate.

For some added bling, I used her lead crystal goblets and gold flatware.

I don’t typically use this gold flatware set, but love that pop of gold and how casually elegant it looks.

And I love how the flatware brings out the yellow in the magnolias.
