With the new house, I’m doing lots of new projects both inside and outside my home.

Because I’m doing A LOT of shopping and finding great stuff!

Oftentimes people ask me about what I’m using or decorating with, so I’m going to share it here with you first!

Some things I’m purchasing now and others may be saved in my cart for a future date because I’m still mulling it over.

But I’m finding SO MANY neat things that I’m going to highlight my top picks here thinking you’ll love them too!

And by the way, there is no particular order or genre of items – just random things I’m shopping around for!

What I Found in this Week’s Friday Favorites!

This week, I’m on the hunt to work on a few spaces like the dining room, outdoor living spaces and gardens.

Wait until you see the cool things I found (and bought) this week!

Antiqued Iron 3-Piece Folding Bistro Set

After Chris and I spent last Saturday night touring each of the gardens to get a sense of how we wanted to enjoy them, we thought it would be a great idea to get a small table and chairs that we could move around.

I found this gorgeous antiqued iron 3-piece bistro set that folds, so moving it around couldn’t be easier!

Isn’t it so pretty?

I’m sensing some cozy sunset dinners in the gazebo this spring!

This set will fit perfectly there.

If you are on the hunt for something similar, shipping was minimal and they have other options available.

Abis Area Rug

With the dining room renovation complete, it’s time to decorate!

I’m keeping my china cabinet and hutch.

As well as that gorgeous crystal chandelier.

I’m not sure what I’m doing with the table and chairs. I may refinish them, I may ditch the chairs for a different ones.

Not quite sure yet.

But I do know, that I want to swap out the area rug.

Although I love what’s there, it’s a little dark so I want to lighten it up with this rug.

I love Boutique Rugs – I hope this one comes back in stock soon or I may have to shop around for something similar.

This rug is a gorgeous textured neutral that would pair well with the travertine tile floor and existing furniture.

Once I get a new rug in there, I’ll see determine what I want to do with my farmhouse table and chairs.

Real Touch Faux Tulips

I cannot get enough of these faux tulips that look so authentic and real.

They are so pretty, aren’t they?

While they come in a variety of colors, I enjoy them in white.

I bought several bunches a few years ago and LOVE decorating for spring with them!

They sell out quick but are in stock right now.

Soil Trays

Ok maybe I was hiding under a rock or something, but THIS is my new favorite garden supply!

I started using it to keep the soil contained while I repot some houseplants and start seeds indoors and these trays are the best!!

I was able to pre-moisten the soil without it spilling all over the place and it was much easier to work with than a bucket or direct from the bag.

If you don’t have these, I HIGHLY recommend them.

I bought the two-pack.

Light Woven Vase

I’m also loving this light woven vase from Target.

Isn’t it so pretty?

I thought it would be a great addition to my master bathroom (that I haven’t shared yet on the blog).

But I’ve got the perfect spot for it!

Realyn Ribbon Back Dining Room Chairs

While I’m not purchasing yet, I am looking around for dining room chair ideas.

I can’t tell you HOW MANY people have commented on my blog and Instagram that they do not like my chairs or my table…or my rug! LOL.

Y’all…I just moved in! Like who moves in and completely tosses everything they own for something new?

Sheesh!

I have to live with it for a bit.

All in good time.

Anyway, I am looking around because at some point, I will swap out those chairs.

They worked in my former home but I’m going in a different direction here.

And while they are still in great shape, I would love something more comfortable in the dining room.

What do you guys think of something like this?

  1. Really pretty chair choices! I love that vase too, I was looking at it last time I was at Target.

  2. I can’t understand people who criticize like that! Your new home is a work in progress and we will all enjoy that process! You have to live in a space to understand how you want to decorate it. Stay the course and I for one will enjoy watching it all!

    1. It’s crazy right? There’s such a small percentage of people who respond with that but sometimes I’m like…really? We just moved in!! I agree with you – it takes time to feel it out. I’m in no rush and enjoying the journey…xoxoxo

  3. Hi Stacy
The chair to the right on your full pic of items is the right scale. The other one is not good scale. The legs are too big and clunky and chunky. Unfortunately, when cheap wood is used, the scale gets thrown off as the legs have to be bigger in order to not break.
You have the magical touch and I’m so looking forward to your beautiful transformations.

  4. Thanks for sharing! Sorry people have to be so rude. You are so right about needing to live in a space for a while, and also take your time to make the best choices. I like both chairs, but the off white one really appeals to me. Although I can see the darker one working well with the ivory rug. So many things to consider! Your new place is lovely and I enjoy seeing the updates. That little bistro set is so cute!

    1. Thank you Vicki! I don’t think they realize how they sound sometimes. And I also think they think it’s like an episode of Fixer Upper where it’s all done in an hour. Aren’t those chairs cute? I might hold off and thrift for the right chairs – the Habitat for Humanity Restore gets great pieces!
