Random Things Happening Behind the Scenes at Bricks ‘n Blooms

What a week it was!

I feel like I lived a lifetime this week because I left for Texas last Sunday and just got back on Friday night.

It was such an amazing week too.

I met some really great new friends.

And FINALLY got to meet some of my blogging besties in person.

I presented my chat about video content creation.

Plus we went shopping around at Roundtop.

Have you ever heard of Roundtop’s Antique week?

Joanna Gaines talks about it a lot on Fixer Upper. And she was not kidding! It is such a cool place.

There is so much stuff there.

It is like 26 miles of antiques, junk, and lots of great pickins.

There were so many things I would have bought if I could fit them in my suitcase. But you really need a u-haul or RV or something.

The coolest coffee table that I wanted to buy but the seller couldn't ship it

Because we just moved and I’m still getting to know our home, I gravitated toward larger pieces. I found a gorgeous coffee table that I wanted, but the seller didn’t ship items.

And I also found some GORGEOUS dining room chairs but they were tagged at 10K!!! I don’t know about you, but I’m not spending 10k on dining room chairs.

So that was a hard pass.

They did inspire me however with the look that I’d love in there, so I’m going to thrift for the right chairs and recover them.

You can’t possibly cover all of Roundtop in a day. There is just TOO MUCH to see and do. With so many great vendors.

And the amount of GORGEOUS vintage garden stuff I found was astounding.

It was all so beautiful and I totally want to go back someday with a means to bring it all home.

After the day was done, I felt like I walked Disneyworld. Cause it was ALOT of walking.

Overal it was a gorgeous day and we lucked out with the weather because it was sunny and not crazy hot.

It was all around a great, informative conference and an incredible trip where I met the most AWESOME people and had a blast.

And because it was so great, I’m going to the Haven Blogger’s Conference in July! Are you?

I learned so much from Anne and AnnMarie from Simply 2 Moms and Cara from Never Skip Brunch at this retreat that I can’t miss the one in July. And I’m going to be a mentor there too!

So if you are a blogger or are interested in blogging and becoming a content creator, you should check out this conference.

Oh and by the way, if you missed the retreat and want to learn about video content creation, message me for a session.

Can you believe how good it looks now???

After the Family room makeover

Cara does all of her own DIYs and when I say she does her own DIYs, like she’s building things with power tools.

Cara blew me away with her DIY skills and she is super sweet to boot! I can’t wait until she moves up here to Jersey so I can share some plants with her.
