Looking for ways to decorate your home with faux spring greens and florals in 2023? Check out my quick guide for purchasing faux spring greens and florals plus my source favorite sources for the season.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I LOVE to use faux greens and florals with my home decor.
I’m often asked why I use them when I have experience with live plants and flowers. And the answer is, sometimes I just don’t want to do the work and want it to always look good.
Now that’s not to say that I don’t love real plants and flowers.
Because I do.
But I’m finding as the years go on, I want to focus on other things and do a little less work indoors when I’d rather be outside.
With the dry heat indoors and hard-to-reach places, sometimes it’s just easier to decorate with faux spring greens and florals than it is with live plants.
Did I mention there’s no care involved and they ALWAYS look good?
With my set-and-forget approach to spring decorating, I have more time to focus on all the other things like starting my flower seeds indoors and preparing the gardens for spring.
To blur the lines between real and faux in my home, I am VERY selective with what faux greens and florals come home. They have to look authentic and real. As if I just plucked them from the garden.
If you are shopping in the store, you can find my tips for choosing authentic faux winter greens and florals here.
But if you just want to click and buy, here are some GREAT options that I found for your spring and summer decor at the bottom of this post. Items sell out really quickly, so if you see something you like, don’t wait!

Spring Decorating Ideas with Faux Flowers and Greenery
Spring is a season of renewal and rejuvenation, and what better way to celebrate it than by incorporating beautiful flowers and greens into your home decor?
Faux flowers and greens can be a wonderful alternative to fresh flowers, as they are low-maintenance, long-lasting, and can be used in a variety of ways to brighten up your living space.
It is easy to decorate with faux flowers and greens for spring but be choosy with what you buy so you achieve an authentic look.
Choosing the Best Faux Flowers and Greens
Faux flowers and greens come in a variety of colors and styles, so it’s important to choose the right ones for your home decor. But more importantly, look for ones that look like you plucked them out of nature or bought them at the nursery.
For a spring look, consider using flowers such as daffodils, tulips, cherry blossoms, or peonies. Greens such as eucalyptus, ferns, or ivy can also add a nice touch.
When choosing faux flowers and greenery, consider the colors and textures in your home and choose flowers and greens that complement them. One realistic pretty bunch can go a long way in a space.
Use a Mix of Textures
Faux flowers and greens can add visual interest to your decor when the textures are blended to create a harmonious look.
Look carefully at the foliage shapes and the manner in which they trail. Pick out flowers in different shapes and sizes too to create more dimension in a faux arrangement.
Use Faux Flowers and Greens in Unexpected Ways
Faux flowers and greens can be used in a variety of ways to decorate your home.
Consider adding a floral arrangement to a bookshelf, using a wreath on your front door, or hanging a garland above a fireplace.
You can also place a small bouquet in a vase on your kitchen counter or use a single stem in a bud vase as a centerpiece for your dining table.
There’s no right or wrong way to decorate with faux flowers and greens. Just keep in mind that you want it to look real and authentic.
Faux flowers and greens can also be used to complement your decorating style. For example, if you have a neutral-toned living room, you can add a pop of color with a bright floral arrangement. Or if you have a coastal-themed bedroom, you can add greenery to give it a more natural and calming vibe.
Mix Faux and Fresh Flowers and Greens
If you blend a mix of faux and fresh flowers and greens, particularly authentic looking faux plants, noone will know the difference of where the line is between.
My husband has a hard time telling the difference and walks around asking if a plant is live or faux.
The faux plants that are on the market these days look so real. Not all but there are many that do. If you are purchasing any online, look at the reviews and see if there are any photos provided so you can get a better view of the product.
Keep It Simple
This set-and-forget approach to spring decorating doesn’t have to be overly complicated either. Keep things simple for yourself and stick to a less is more approach when making an arrangement.
A small arrangement or a single stem can add a touch of spring to your decor without overwhelming you or your space.
You can completely transform a room just by adding a centerpiece or small bouquet of flowers. And the best part? They don’t have to be real to decorate your space.
One of the things I love about faux flowers today is there are so many that look real and authentic these days.
