What is a Cook-Off Party?
A cook-off party is a fun theme to do because guests are actively involved with the gathering.
Each guest brings their favorite dish, like a chowder or chili. At the party, everyone samples the dishes and chooses their favorite.
What Do You Cook For a Cook Off?
There are lots of themes you could do for a cook-off party. Today we are celebrating with some cozy bowls of chowder, but you could easily do cook-offs with other types of dishes.
Here are some ideas for a little friendly competition.
- Chili
- Hot Wings
- Pulled Pork
- Lasagna
- Soup
- Chowder
- Barbeque Ribs
- Spaghetti with Meatballs
- Burgers
- Mac ‘n Cheese
- Meatloaf
Really, you could do almost anything you want! There are so many options and it’s such a fun theme for a party.
6 Easy Recipes for a Chowder Cook-Off
My friends and I have been getting together for almost 2 years now with our supper club, so I think it’s time for a little friendly competition.
And the funny thing is, we did not coordinate our dishes yet we all made different recipes with a variety of ingredients so there really wasn’t any overlap (like we didn’t all make New England Clam Chowder, for example).
We’ve got some great recipes to sample and I’m looking forward to trying each one.
Let me know in the comments below which one you are voting for. I mean I’m sure it will be mine, *wink wink* but it’s OK if you vote for one of my besties.
