Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cups Apples Cored and Chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 3/4 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Butter softened

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350.

  • Chop apples. I like to use a corer peeler slicer to make thin slices and remove the skin as well.
  • Place apples in baking dish.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon and salt on apples.
  • Add water. No need to mix.
  • Mix flour, sugar and softened butter in separate bowl.
  • Crumble the flour mixture on top of the apples.
  • Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy!
  • Top with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

I prefer to use granny smith apples but it's a personal preference.
Since I prefer to remove the skin, I usually use the apple corer peeler and slicer because it is a quicker way to slice and cut up the apples. But you can just core and chop up the apples if that's easier.
Top with vanilla ice cream if desired.
