Rudbeckia is a versatile plant that can be grown in a variety of locations, including full sun to partial shade.

The plant prefers well-drained soil that is slightly acidic to neutral and can tolerate a range of soil types, including clay, loam, and sandy soil.

Rudbeckia can be grown from seed or purchased as a plant. If starting from seed, it should be planted in the spring or fall.

When starting seeds in the fall, they should be planted about ¼ inch deep and spaced about 6-12  inches apart. Once the seedlings are established, they can be thinned to one plant every 12-18 inches.

When planting in fall, the hole should be dug to the same depth as the pot and twice as wide. Back fill with garden soil, mulch, and water thoroughly.
