This method is great if you want to create multiple new plants from a single stem. The best time to take a cutting is during the growing season (spring and summer).

Select a healthy stem with at least one leaf.

Cut a 4-6 inch section from the stem, making the cut just below a node (where the leaf attaches).

Remove the lower leaves, leaving only the top one or two.

Dip the cut end in rooting hormone (optional but helpful).
