Ferns Ferns are excellent companion plants for hostas as they thrive in  similar shady conditions. Their delicate foliage and varied textures  create a beautiful contrast with the broad leaves of hostas.

Heucheras Heuchera plants offer a range of foliage colors, including shades of burgundy, green, peach, and silver. They add lots of  visual interest with their unique leaf shapes and airy flower  spikes.

Astilbe With their feathery plumes of flowers in shades of pink, red, and white,  astilbes make a great companion for hostas. They prefer the same moist  and shaded conditions and add a vertical element to the planting.

Bleeding Heart Bleeding hearts produce delicate heart-shaped flowers that hang  gracefully from arching stems. Their pink or white blooms and fern-like  foliage create a charming combination with hostas.

Brunnera Brunnera macrophylla, also known as Siberian bugloss, has heart-shaped  leaves with silver or variegated patterns. Its small blue flowers in  spring resemble forget-me-nots and provide a lovely contrast to hostas.

Hellebores Hellebores, also called Lenten roses, bloom in late winter or early  spring, providing a splash of color when hostas are still emerging.  Their evergreen foliage and unique flowers create a striking contrast  with hostas.

Pulmonaria Pulmonaria plants feature speckled or silver-spotted leaves and clusters  of flowers in shades of pink, blue, or white. They prefer shade and  moist soil, making them an excellent match for hostas.
